Most parents-to-be find out what sex their baby is in order to plan for it; the color of the nursery, clothes, and baby supplies. The stores today offers a wide variety of styles to choose from and if you know the sex of the baby you will be able to choose what you want. There are plenty of decorative theme ideas for your new little bundle of joy even if you don’t want to know what you are having. Whether that be a boy or a girl, these themes will fit.The most popular colors today seems to be yellow and white. Those colors are neutral, so it doesn’t matter what the sex is. Keep in mind, there are plenty of other themes to choose from so don’t worry if the yellow and white theme doesn’t seem to fit the color you wanted to go with.
You can always do Winnie the Pooh, which favors both boys and girls. Any books that boys and girls love can be the theme for your child’s nursery. Pale colors will also do, such as pale blue or green. There are plenty of ways you can make that perfect nursery one that you and baby will enjoy. Themes such as the Ocean or the Jungle can do as well for boy or girl. You can always add some pink in with the ocean theme by adding pink starfish or in the jungle by adding pink tropical flowers.
Just know that whatever you are having that safety is what you should first think about. Before the decorating, you should first buy that newest crib, the best changing table, or the safest dresser drawers. Even think about the toys, because we all want our children to be safe, especially in rooms where they will spend most of their time. If you are buying second hand, then make sure all the pieces are included and search online with the product number to see if there has been any recalls on that particular item.
You can either pick a theme, a color, or mix and match. You can always choose yellow, but then you can also choose yellow and white. Of course, you can always use a variety of colors, depending what looks good together. Use primary colors to make the rainbow of colors or have alternating colors on the walls can also work. Have fun with your nursery, and don’t stress. Not everything has to be perfect. You only have to like it, and chances are if you like it, your baby will too.
Finally, add soft plush area rugs in the nursery, such as natural flokati rugs. They come in a variety of colors and they are extremely easy on tired parents feet. Even when you have carpet on the floors in the nursery, it is important to make certain areas softer; in front of the crib, under the rocking chair, and more. It’s great for those middle of the night feedings when the house gets cool.
