Kriya Meditation Technique

Kriya meditation is a form of yoga practiced by those who wish to develop a strong spiritual relationship with themselves. This particular form of Yoga is derivative of three individual forms of Yoga which include Karma yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Bhakti yoga. Karma yoga seeks to develop a detachment from the consequences or rewards of actions in life for the meditator. Jnana yoga seeks to develop freedom for the meditator through spiritual knowledge. And Bhakti yoga seeks to awaken unconditional love through a sense of oneness with creation and gratitude. Through these three forms of yoga, Kriya yoga is developed and used to reach a spiritual awareness with oneself.

Although discovered many, many years ago Kriya yoga experienced a revival around 1861. Through the techniques used the meditator performing Kriya yoga will be led to spiritual development and tranquility. Today this type of Yoga is taught and practiced my a great number of individuals as a way to meditate and improve ones overall outlook on life and to improve the spiritual relationship with oneself.
